About Us
The Peninsula Mental Health Alliance is a Department of Human Services project designed to strengthen organisational alliances and working relationships between area mental health services and psychiatric disability and rehabilitation services . There is a Memorandum of Understanding and an Action Plan that describes this collaboration. The services that are part of this Alliance are:
- Peninsula Mental Health Services
- Peninsula Drug and Alcohol Program (PenDAP)
- Peninsula Support Services Inc
- Mental illness fellowship Victoria
- MIND
- IMPACT support service
- Headspace
These services on the Mornington Peninsula are a pre-existing network of services that have worked together closely for years. This close collaboration between services has the common goal of a cohesive recovery and rehabilitation service system underpinned by a shared ideology that provides the basis for an equitable service for all clients evidenced through-
- Common rehabilitation and recovery plans
- Coordinated discharge planning
- Meaningful input from carers and consumers
- Continual development of the service alliance.
